During the MAMA Awards Exclusive Stage, the actor, who played the vivacious idol Ryu Sun Jae in Lovely Runner delivered a performance which will be remembered forever. Despite his lack of vocal training, Byeon Woo Seok’s expressive voice made the song come to life and left admirers speechless.
“I’m truly thankful to the Lovely Runner team for helping me deliver a great song despite being an actor,” Byeon Woo Seok made sure to give credit to his fictional K-pop group ECLIPSE, whose journey played a big role in the plot of the drama. “Our team received an award in Hyuk, Hyun Soo, and Jae! He reenacted the fictional band’s fan greeting with a broad smile, saying, “This has been ECLIPSE.”‘
Sudden Shower was indeed a memorable music, especially when it was nominated for Best OST. Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok’s dual roles as the performer and award presenter gave the evening a special charm. He demonstrated his adaptability by returning to the stage on the third night of the event after giving BTS’ Jimin the Visa Fans’ Choice of the Year award on day two.
The actor gave a shout-out to his fandom and his team and said, “Thank you, and I love you”.
