BMC has made it mandatory to wear masks in public places as well as offices and travel in Mumbai. A fine of Rs 1000 will have to be paid for not wearing the mask. Amidst the ever increasing cases of Mumbai Corona, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has hinted at increasing the strictures on not wearing masks. According to the new BMC order, wearing masks in public places will be mandatory.

Not wearing a mask in Mumbai will now have to give fine of Rs 1000. Significantly, about 1200 corona infections are being found in Mumbai every day. In Mumbai city a lot was affected due to the high speed of corona infection. After almost two months of complete lockdown, Mumbai city is slowly opening up. Meanwhile, the BMC has clearly stated that it will be mandatory to put on masks or cover the face and nose while traveling more in the office besides the public places. BMC has given a clear order that a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed for not wearing the mask. Violation of this order will be considered guilty under section 188 and action will be taken. According to the BMC order, if the police and BMC employees catch people without masks, then fines will be charged and legal action will also be taken.
