Case registered against IAS officer Vinay Choubey in Chhattisgarh liquor scam

Ranchi: In the alleged liquor scam of Rs 2050 crore in Chhattisgarh, the Economic Offenses Wing of Raipur has registered a case against Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Vinay Choubey, the then Excise Secretary, as an accused. Inspector of EOW Raipur has registered a case on the statement of Vikas Singh, resident of Argora, Ranchi.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren wrote a letter to Assam CM Hemanta Biswa Sarma, demanding inclusion of Tree Tribe in Scheduled Tribes.
High profile people associated with Jharkhand have also been made accused in the FIR under sections of fraud and criminal conspiracy. Vikas Singh has accused Chhattisgarh officials Anil Tuteja, Anwar Dhebar, Arunpati Tripathi and their syndicate of causing a loss of billions of rupees of revenue to the Chhattisgarh government by doing liquor scam. It has also been said in the allegations that the same syndicate has caused a loss of billions of rupees to the Chhattisgarh government. In collaboration with the officials, the excise policy of Jharkhand has been changed and the government's revenue has increased.
