Chhattisgarh: Five security personnel injured in IED blast

Bijapur: Five security personnel have been injured after an IED planted by Naxalites exploded in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday. The incident took place in the Tarrem police station area of the district.

The incident took place when the security personnel were out on a demining exercise from Chinngelur CRPF camp, the police said while sharing further information. A wire connected to the pressure IED was detected by the security personnel, who then started tracing the IEDs and dispose them.

The injured were shifted to Bijapur district hospital for treatment after the blast. As per the police, the condition of all five personnel was out of danger.
