How is challan issued on expressway?
The maximum speed of driving on the expressway is 100 kilometers per hour. At the same time, if a vehicle moves at a speed exceeding this limit, the traffic police can issue a challan. A fine of Rs 2000 is imposed on light vehicles for driving above the speed limit. Whereas for heavy vehicles, this speed limit is 60 kilometers per hour and a fine of Rs 4000 is imposed if these vehicles overspeed.

When did this traffic police law come?
The journey of Agra-Lucknow Expressway is 302 kilometers. According to the bill issued by the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) in the year 2019, if a car leaves this 302 km long expressway before three hours, it is sure to be fined, as the speed limit for cars is 100 kilometers per hour. This rule was immediately implemented in 2019 when a speeding private bus carrying 60 passengers collided with a truck. At the same time, seven people including two children and a woman had died in this incident.
