Ingredients for making gourd peel chutney
Bottle gourd peels (soaked) – 1 cup
Tomato – 2-3
Sesame seeds – 100 grams
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Sugar – 2 teaspoons
Garlic cloves – 4-5
Oil – 1 tbsp
salt to taste
Method to make gourd bark chutney
To make bottle gourd peel chutney, first place all the peels in a bowl and add water and wash thoroughly two to three times. After this, soak the peels in water for half an hour, this will make the peels soft. When the balls become soft, take them out of the water and cut them into small pieces. Then finely chop the tomatoes and garlic. Now add one tablespoon oil in a small pan and heat it. When the oil is hot, add chopped tomatoes and bottle gourd peels into it. Now stir with the help of a spoon and fry for about 5 minutes. When the peels and tomatoes are roasted well, add garlic pieces, red chili powder and salt as per taste, mix them and turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.
