Ingredients to make Matar Paratha
Green peas – 1 cup
Flour – 1 cup
Green chilli – 2 chopped
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Onion – 1 chopped
Whole cumin seeds – half teaspoon
Ginger – a grated piece
Garlic – 2-3 cloves
Lemon juice – half teaspoon
Garam masala – half teaspoon
Coriander powder – half teaspoon
Refined oil – for frying parathas
salt to taste
Matar Paratha Recipe
– Add a little salt and half a spoon of oil to the flour and knead it well and soft. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes. Peel the peas, put them in water and boil for 5-7 minutes. This will make them soft. – Filter the water through a strainer. Put peas and green chillies in the mixer and grind them coarsely. – Keep the pan on the gas stove. Add oil in it. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds. When cumin starts crackling, add chopped onion, ginger and garlic and fry. After frying for two to three minutes, add ground peas and all the spices like coriander and garam masala powder, lemon juice, green coriander and mix well. -Make balls of dough, fill them with pea mixture and roll them into round paranthas. Exactly like you fill potato paratha. Place the pan on the stove. When it becomes hot, put the rolled raw paratha in the pan. Turn and cook from both the sides. Then add oil and bake until it turns golden. Delicious matar parathas are ready. Eating it in winter will provide many benefits to the body, because peas are rich in protein. You can eat it with butter. If you want, you can consume it with tea or with tomato sauce and coriander chutney.
