Useful tips for skin and hair care in monsoon
Monsoon season and skin care
The magical season of monsoon brings respite from the heat, but it also brings challenges for your skin and hair. The rainy season, with its lush green scenery and romantic drives, can sometimes make the skin dull. Dirt, pollution, and excessive humidity can cause problems like skin allergies, hyper-pigmentation, and frizzy hair.
During rains, the risk of bacterial and fungal infections on skin and hair increases. The skin needs extra care during this season, as humidity increases oil secretion, which can cause itching and other problems.
Skin and hair care tips
Use anti-fungal powder to avoid skin infections and always keep your skin dry. Change wet clothes or shoes immediately. These small steps are important for healthy skin.
To take care of my skin and hair in monsoon, I always change my routine according to the season. For example, I keep a rose water toner in the fridge, which I apply with a cotton pad. It is cool and refreshing.
For a face mask, mix 3 teaspoons of oats with egg white, honey and curd. If you don’t want to add egg white, add rose water or orange juice.
For hair care, use tea and lemon juice as a final rinse. It makes hair shiny. Additionally, the mixture of apple cider vinegar and water prevents hair fall.
In this season, drink 10-12 glasses of water for hydration and moisturize the skin. Sometimes, I apply bleach before my shampoo, which strengthens the hair.
To fulfill the lack of fluids during monsoon, drinking fresh fruit juice and lemon water is beneficial. Home remedies are best for minor ailments.
