Definition of pH level

The full name of pH is Potential Hydrogen. Potential means power. This means that the acidity of something can be known from the pH level. Every skin has its own pH level, which is measured between 0 and 14. Generally, pH 7 is considered neutral for the skin, while 5.5 also falls within the normal range. The lower it is, the more acidic the level, and the higher it is, the less acidic the content.

How to know your pH level?

To find out your pH level you will need a pH testing strip, distilled water and clean skin. First of all, wash your face thoroughly and leave it in its natural state for 30 minutes. Then, wet the pH testing strip with distilled water and apply it to different parts of the face. After some time, compare the change in color to the strip that came with the testing kit. If the pH level falls between 4.7-5.5, it is considered healthy. A level of 6 indicates alkaline skin, while 4.5 or less indicates acidic skin.
