However, some political supporters took it negatively and started trolling Aamir Khan and his production house. Ultimately, the production house had to remove the post.

Aamir Khan Productions shared a video clip of the film on its official X account on May 23, 2026, writing, ‘Hopefully the inflation witch will leave us.’ The post was accompanied by a famous excerpt from the film, which contained lines like ‘Har Mahisha Uchhale Petrol’. The video instantly reminded viewers of the 16-year-old film, which satirized inflation, rural distress, media drama and politics.

Process of trolling on social media

As soon as the post was shared, there was a flood of reactions from government supporters. He started trolling Aamir Khan by linking this video to the current government and investigating agencies. One user jokingly wrote, ‘Khan and he are also talking about the real issues of the country? Now get ready for boycott and ED raids.
