National Girl Child Day: Celebrating National Girl Child Day today, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University of Kanpur started a scheme to teach girls at subsidized rates. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak said that this decision was taken in the board meeting to further strengthen the education of girls. He told that now if there is one or two daughters in the family, help will be given in university admission fees and scholarship. CSJMU has taken steps to make the slogan of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao meaningful.
On the other hand, the Vice-Chancellor of the University directed all the departments to start it from the next session so that people can get the benefit of this facility as soon as possible. According to the Vice-Chancellor, people belonging to weaker sections are not able to provide higher education to their daughters due to poor economic condition.
