David Beckham and wife’s soaring wealth on par with billionaire in-laws

According to the 2026 Rich List published on May 15 by The Sunday Timesthe British couple’s combined fortune is now estimated at £1.185 billion (US$1.58 billion). This represents a significant leap from their £500 million valuation last year.

This financial milestone places the Beckhams on par with Nelson Peltz and his wife, Claudia Heffner Peltz. According to Forbesthe American businessman and investor maintained an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion this year.

Peltz, a renowned investor and co-founder of Trian Fund Management, has featured on the Forbes billionaire list for years, holding stakes in major corporations like Wendy’s, Heinz, Mondelez, and Procter & Gamble.

His wife Claudia, a former model who retired in 1985 to focus on family and philanthropy, co-founded the Nelson & Claudia Peltz Family Foundation. The organization supports education, healthcare, the environment and youth initiatives.

The Peltz family’s luxury real estate portfolio includes the famous $372 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, which hosted the April 2022 wedding of their daughter Nicola to Brooklyn Beckham.

The Beckhams’ wealth surge is largely driven by their lucrative investments in the U.S. Beckham’s stake in Inter Miami CF skyrocketed in value following the club’s successful contract extension with football icon Lionel Messi through 2028.

Beyond football ownership, David has expanded his business footprint by launching health care brand IM8 and children’s snack brand Beeup. The former England captain also built substantial wealth during his playing career through massive contracts and endorsements with brands like Adidas and H&M.

Victoria Beckham established her eponymous fashion label in 2008 following her highly successful music career with the Spice Girls. Her luxury brand marked a significant milestone last year by surpassing $130 million in sales, with Reuters reporting that the fashion house was valued at roughly $700 million.

The couple also maintains an international real estate portfolio. Their assets include a roughly $80 million mansion in Miami, a $66 million residence in London’s Holland Park, a $26 million estate near the Cotswolds in England and a superyacht valued at over $20 million.

At 51, Beckham’s financial growth makes him the first British athlete to officially achieve billionaire status.
