Deepika Padukone praised Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’
Mumbai. Famous Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has praised her husband Ranveer Singh’s new film ‘Dhurandhar’. The film is doing great at the box office, and Deepika is enjoying it on her date night. She has shared many pictures on social media, in which she is feeling proud of Ranveer’s achievements.
Deepika’s support on the success of the film
Deepika Padukone wrote a heart-touching review about ‘Dhurandhar’, in which she praised not only Ranveer but the entire team of the film. His support comes as the film has made a strong comeback after a slow start. She mentioned on her Instagram story along with the poster of the film, “Watched Dhurandhar and it’s worth every minute of 3.36 hours. Do it, go to the cinema now!”

Expressing pride in her husband, Deepika wrote, “So proud of you, Ranveer Singh,” and also added a kiss emoji. Apart from this, he also wished the entire cast and crew of the film. While sharing the Indian tricolor emoji, he wrote ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and used the hashtag ‘Dhurandhar’.

‘Dhurandhar’ released on 5,000 screens, registering only 16% occupancy in the morning show. Nevertheless, occupancy for the afternoon show went above 28% due to excellent word of mouth. Till 6 pm, the film collected a net of Rs 17.44 crore, which is more than the initial estimate. Trade analysts believe that the film can cross the Rs 20 crore mark on the first day.
Story and length of the film
The story of the film ‘Dhurandhar’ centers around Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan), who sets out on a high-risk mission to dismantle a terrorist network in Pakistan. Ranveer Singh plays the character of a 20-year-old Punjabi boy who is released from jail and trained to infiltrate the Karachi underworld.

The film was shot between July 2024 and October 2025 in Thailand, Mumbai, Punjab, and Ladakh. Its duration is 214 minutes, making it one of India’s longest running films. The CBFC has issued it an ‘A’ certificate, with IC-814 making reference to the Kandahar hijacking, 2001 Parliament attack, and Operation Liari. At the end of the film, its second part ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has been announced, which will be released on 19 March 2026.
