Pollution in Delhi-NCR remains in very bad category. The overall air quality index (AQI) has crossed 300 on Saturday morning. Most of the areas remain in the red zone. As the pollution situation worsens, it is seriously affecting people’s health. This situation has persisted for the last several months. The situation is likely to improve only after strong wind and rain. To avoid pollution, people are forced to go out wearing masks.

According to Sameer App, pollution has been recorded at dangerous levels at 35 out of 40 active AQI monitoring centers at 6 am on Saturday. Apart from this, the pollution situation at other centers is also in ‘very bad’ category. Due to pollution, problems like eye irritation, sore throat and difficulty in breathing have become very common. Most of the people are struggling with this type of disease. Pollution is having the biggest impact on the health of children, elderly and sick people.

35 areas of Delhi are in the pollution red zone, where AQI-300 has been recorded. The highest AQI of 378 has been recorded in Mundka. Now not only pollution but also increasing cold is troubling people. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Saturday can reach 23, while the minimum temperature can reach 8 degrees Celsius. It is feeling quite cold these days.
