Dispute over land distribution, young man poured petrol and set fire, death
Jalaun, 23 November (Hindustan Reporter). In village Amita of Ait police station area, a young man committed suicide by pouring petrol in front of his elder brother's house over land distribution. The wife of the deceased is accusing the brother-in-law of murder. It has been told that three days ago also the deceased youth had consumed insecticide.
Pushpendra Kushwaha alias Chhote (35), younger son of Vrindavan, resident of village Amita of Eight police station area of Konch Circle, poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire in front of the house of his elder brother Hargovind alias Pappu on Friday evening. Seeing the young man burning in the fire, there was a commotion in the village and the young man started screaming badly. The burning young man reached his home and there was an uproar in the house. People extinguished the fire and took him to Konch CHC but he died during treatment late in the night. It was told that there was a dispute going on between the two brothers regarding land distribution. It was also told that the deceased youth had attempted suicide by consuming pesticide three days ago over land distribution issue.
The deceased's wife has accused her brother-in-law and father of murdering her by pouring petrol on her. ET police station incharge Vimlesh Kumar had called both the brothers and talked to them regarding the complaint letter given by the elder brother. After that both the youths came home and the younger brother Pushpendra went to the elder brother's house to talk. Where he poured petrol and set himself on fire and he died. The deceased has two children. Legal action is being taken on the basis of the wife's complaint.
