Division of departments in Karnataka, Home to G Parameshwara, CM kept finance with him, irrigation to Shivkumar

The Congress government of Karnataka divided the portfolios on Saturday. CM Siddaramaiah has kept the Finance portfolio with himself, while Deputy CM DK Shivakumar has got the Irrigation and Bengaluru City Development portfolios. Whereas G Parameshwara has been given the home department. According to the list revealed, the CM has kept cabinet affairs, intelligence, personal and administrative reforms and information department with him. Asch K Patil has been given Law and Parliament Affairs, KA Muniappa has been given Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. Similarly, Priyank Kharge, son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, has been given the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

34 ministers in Siddaramaiah cabinet
The Congress government was formed in Karnataka on 20 May. Then Siddaramaiah took oath as CM, DK Shivakumar as Deputy CM and 8 other MLAs took oath as ministers. Today the cabinet of the government was expanded. In Bengaluru, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office to 24 MLAs, which means that now there are 34 ministers in the Karnataka cabinet. Among them G.Parameshwar, K.H. Muniyappa, K.J. George, M.B. Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyanka Kharge, Ramalimaga Reddy and B.Z. Jamir Ahmed Khan, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Krishna Byre Gowda, Ishwar Khandre, Rahim Khan, Santosh Lad, KN Rajanna, K Venkatesh, HC Mahadevappa, Bairathi Suresh, Shivraj Tangdi, RB Timmpur, B Nagendra, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Madhu Bangarappa, D Sudhakar, Cheluvaraya Swamy, Mankul Vaidya and MC Sudhakar.
