Do not make these mistakes while applying for passport, otherwise you may face problems…
New Delhi:- Many passport applicants mistakenly submit their Aadhar card as birth proof, which is not accepted. This omission often causes delays in processing the application. The applicant may be delayed for a week to ten days due to rescheduling of the appointment and resubmission of required documents. As a result, they have to face long waiting periods for their passports.
Five Passport Seva Kendras and 14 Post Office Passport Centers in Hyderabad collectively issue 3,800 passports every day. At the same time, about 200 applications are rejected or pending due to incomplete or invalid documents. Officials stress the importance of reviewing the document requirements in the 'Document Advisory' section under the tab before applying on the official website passportindia.gov.in.
