Dragon’s statement came out regarding Putin’s visit to India

China has shown a positive attitude towards the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. China believes that this visit will further strengthen bilateral relations between Russia and India. China has also described this visit as important for regional and global stability. Strategic partnership between the two countries will be promoted.

Describing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to India as positive, China said that India, China and Russia are three emerging economies and being important powers of the Global South, strong trilateral cooperation among them is essential for regional and global stability.

Beijing also attached importance to Putin’s statement “India and China are our closest friends” and called it a sign of growing trust between the three countries.

China wants to advance relations with India
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said it wants to pursue ties with India from a “strategic and long-term perspective”, especially given the gradual restoration of ties following the 2020 standoff in eastern Ladakh.

The ministry spokesperson indicated that China is ready to strengthen its bilateral relations with India and Russia in parallel.
