Already, the government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 4 percent in the month of March and now their DA has increased from 38 percent to 42 percent. It has become effective from 1 January 2023. But the government revises the dearness allowance twice a year as per the 7th Pay Commission.
New figures will come on May 31
For the information of the people, let us tell you that on the basis of the AICPI data released by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the dearness allowance of the employees is increased. The AICPI figures for the last 3 months have come, according to which their DA has been increased by 2.5 times after 42 per cent. But the AICPI figures for 3 months are yet to come, which will be released on May 31, 2023.
How much DA can increase
After the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission in 2016, the dearness allowance of the employees is revised twice a year. The government has increased DA by 4 percent for the first half. But now looking at the AICPI figures to be released by the government, there are chances of a 4 percent increase for the second half as well.
After this, the dearness allowance of the employees will be increased from 42% to 46%. Along with this, there will be a bumper increase in his salary. The government has increased the DA for the first time in the month of March and now like every year, once again in the month of September-October, the DA of the employees can be increased by 4 percent.
