Not Bollywood but Tollywood became the number one film industry in the country, know why

Allu Arjun's film Pushpa The Rise has broken all the records of earning at the box office despite Corona. Apart from South, the film was also well received in the Hindi belt.

Due to the huge earnings of Pushpa, the South film industry has played a big role in the film industry. Talking about 2021, South's Telugu film industry has achieved the number one position, beating Bollywood. At the same time, Bollywood has slipped to number 3 in this matter.

According to the report of Andhra Box Office, Tollywood film industry has earned around Rs 1300 crore worldwide in 2021. With this, it has become the number 1 cinema industry of the country. On the other hand, Kollywood (Tamil Film Industry) is at number two. Big films like Dhanush starrer Asuran, Karnan, Master, Jai Bhim, were also released in Kollywood. Whereas, the country's largest film industry i.e. Bollywood has reached number three in this list. Bollywood has earned only 700 crores in the year 2021.

Talking about the Telugu film industry, even before Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's film Pushpa The Rise, many films have earned a lot. Before Pushpa, in 2021, the Tollywood industry has given superhit films like Vakil Saab, Krack, Upenna and Akhanda. At the same time, Kollywood continues to dominate the Tamil film industry with blockbuster films like Master.

Bollywood got only one superhit film in 2021:
Bollywood did not get any superhit film in 2021 other than Akshay Kumar starrer film Sooryavanshi. This year also big films like Salman Khan's last, John Abraham's Satyamev Jayate 2 and Ayushmann Khurrana's Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui also failed to attract the audience. After this, Ranveer Singh's film 83, which was released at the end of the year, was also rejected outright by the audience. It is also being said that people have stopped going to the theater due to fear of Corona. Apart from this, many restrictions have also been implemented.
