With a new identity and a new focus, the forum ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’ (Sur Nava Dhyas Nava) will present a new unique perspective to the fans every week. In this episode, Vida Colors Marathi and Ekvira Productions have taken up the task of giving the best singer of each week his own new song.

Mumbai: The fifth season of Colors Marathi’s ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’ is here. (Marathi News) Now with a new identity and a new focus, ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’ (Sur Nava Dhyas Nava) is going to present a new unique perspective to the fans every week. In this episode, Vida Colors Marathi and Ekvira Productions have taken up the task of giving the best singer of each week his own new song. In the history of musical reality shows, this is the first and only initiative in India.

Each week, the singer of that week who excels on the stage of ‘Soor Nava Dhyas Nava’ and strives to perform his song in the best possible way wins the honor of winning the gold belt. In this season, the singer of the week who gets the gold medal will be handed over to a renowned musician in the field of Marathi music. The singer will get a golden opportunity to get his own new song from that composer. Shubham Satpute, a talented singer from Sangli, has got this first golden opportunity in this innovative initiative of ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’. A beautiful new song composed by music composer Kaushal Inamdar and penned by poet-lyricist Milind Joshi has been recorded in the name of Shubham Satpute.

“In every competition, there is only one winner, and that one often stands out. But the difference of Sur Nava’s competition, this episode is that the best singer of each week is going to be a winner. His own song will be recorded in his name. What could be more important to any competitor? There can be no greater reward for him than establishing his identity on this platform as a playback singer. And proud to say that this can only happen on the stage of Sur Nava!” Talking about this activity, Avadhoot Gupte, the examiner and producer of ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’, said.

“This is the most unusual thing to happen in a reality show. A lot of appreciation to Ekvira Productions and Colors Marathi for providing them at this stage of the competition, something that is rare for contestant singers. It is quite an achievement to have a song by a renowned musician and lyricist at this stage of their career and to be lucky enough to perform it for the first time on such a big stage. In that sense, all these contestants are very lucky. This unique thing will give an edge to the competition and make the concert of ‘Sur Nava’ even more daring.” Mahesh Kale, the examiner of the program said this while talking about this activity.

Speaking about this new venture of Sur Nava, music composer Kaushal Inamdar said, “Apart from films, songs were once the lifeline of Marathi soul music. But today those songs are not made to such a large extent. There was a need to create a financial eco-system for the production of such non-film songs and on the occasion of this competition, Colors Marathi and Ekvira Productions created that eco-system. While composing a new song for Shubham, I became new on the occasion of that song. Me and lyricist Milind Joshi happened to be Shubham’s age. In that sense, this song is a refreshing song for us and it was a really pleasant experience for us.”

This unique initiative of “Sur Nava” is highly appreciated in the field of Marathi entertainment and this brand new first song is coming to the audience on Saturday 6th August at 9:30 PM in the program ‘Sur Nava Dhyas Nava’. Viraj Raje, program head of Colors Marathi, said that the visit of a new song every week will be a big celebration for the budding singers as well as the fans.
