Pune/Sonaji Gadwe : India alone has about 25 percent of the world’s low productivity population. Therefore, if this class is to be stopped from being ‘disclassed’, it is necessary to study the real needs of this 25 percent people in depth. Their living conditions, what goods and services they accept, how they think, their daily life struggles, what are their hopes and aspirations. Vivek Sawant, Chief Founder of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) expressed the opinion that it is not possible to build modern entrepreneurship without studying all these aspects.

He was speaking at a conference jointly organized by ‘Swa’ Rupvardhini, ‘The Arara Foundation’, Deccan Education Society and FINNAPP at the Infi Theater of Fergusson College to inspire youth from ordinary families to start their own business ventures. Sahyadri Farms Managing Director Vilas Shinde, Anand Godse, Kishore Bellori, Pramod Rawat and other entrepreneurs were present on this occasion.

Vivek Sawant further said that have we actually gone to the market to find out the needs of common citizens? Have you studied the weekly market? Have you ever thought deeply and researched how they decide to buy something? This is the main question. There is definitely a need to study in this direction.

Entrepreneur Vilas Shinde said, farming is purely commercial. We should look at it from that point of view. There will be no great businessman without going through global business pain. And we will be successful if we try to understand the needs of the countries.

New direction of green entrepreneurship

The past and present generation have done massive damage to the earth. It can create huge business opportunities to repair and balance the environment. Currently, ‘Green Enterprises’ are emerging all over the world. About four percent of businesses in most developed countries are related to environmentally friendly industries. Vivek Sawat sang that the ongoing thinking and change in terms of how we can reuse the used items is becoming a new direction of entrepreneurship.
