Esha Deol has opened up about how her life changed following the death of her beloved father Dharmendra.
During her appearance at the recent Padma Vibhushan ceremony, the actress spoke at length about the late legend’s love for his fans and followers.
Esha also shared that she affectionately called her father ‘Teddy Bear’ and has surrounded her bed with teddy bears ever since the Sholay star passed away.
She said, “I always called him my Teddy Bear, and today my bed is filled with teddy bears because it reminds me of him. The loss never really leaves. You just learn to carry it. I carry him in my heart, and I carry his strength with me wherever I go.”
In addition, Esha noted that Dharmendra left behind an impactful legacy as an actor and was undoubtedly one of the most successful stars of his generation.
The Weight actress recalled how she looked up to him as her role model and admired his success as a highly-acclaimed celebrity.
For the unversed, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, leaving the entire film fraternity in mourning.
