1.44 lakh examiners will check the answer sheets of UP Board

Lucknow. The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh, after conducting copy-free examinations in the state, has now set a target of evaluating answer sheets of UP Board examinations without any hindrance. For this, concrete preparations have been made by the Board of Secondary Education. 258 evaluation centers have been set up across the state for error-free evaluation of answer sheets of high school and intermediate examinations, in which about 1.44 lakh examiners have been appointed to evaluate a total of 3.19 crore answer sheets.

Not only this, elaborate arrangements have also been made for the security of examination centers and examiners. At the same time, arrangements have also been made to monitor it through CCTV. It is noteworthy that the state government has recently succeeded in conducting the UP Board examinations in record time without any hindrance. For the first time in 30 years, no exam was canceled due to question papers being leaked, going viral or for any other reason. Not only this, there was no incident of mass copying.

Evaluation work will be done at 258 centers

Secondary Education Council Secretary Divyakant Shukla said that a total of 258 evaluation centers have been set up in the state for evaluation of answer sheets of high school and intermediate examinations. The evaluation of answer sheets will continue till April 1. During this, about 1.86 crore high school answer sheets will be evaluated, for which 89,698 examiners have been appointed. At the same time, 54,235 examiners have been appointed for the evaluation of 1.33 crore intermediate answer sheets. Thus, a total of 1,43,933 examiners have been appointed to evaluate a total of 3.19 crore answer sheets.

Examiners trained

He informed that this time, for the first time, for the training of examiners and deputy chief examiners, their deputy controllers have been conducted through audio-video presentation at the regional office level, so that there can be an error-free evaluation of the answer sheets. Training has been completed in Regional Office Meerut on March 12, Bareilly on March 13, Gorakhpur on March 14, Prayagraj on March 15 and Varanasi on March 16. The Deputy Controller or Principal of the evaluation centers will train the appointed examiners and deputy head examiners for evaluation of answer sheets before the commencement of evaluation at their respective evaluation centers after training at the regional office level.

Secretary Divyakant Shukla said that one static magistrate has been deputed at each evaluation center for fair evaluation at the evaluation centres. Along with this, DIET Principal of each district has been appointed as supervisor to supervise all the evaluation centers located in each district. Not only this, strict arrangements have also been made for the security arrangements of the evaluation centres. Section 144 has been imposed in a radius of 100 meters around the evaluation centres. Along with this, arrangements have been made for the deployment of at least four armed police guards and deployment of local intelligence unit/police personnel in plain uniform till the evaluation period.

Will be monitored by CCTV cameras

Just as this time the board examinations were conducted under CCTV cameras with voice recorders, similarly a provision has been made to monitor the evaluation work as well. According to Secretary Divyakant Shukla, the evaluation work will be compulsorily under the supervision of CCTV with voice recorder. Arrangements have also been made for continuous monitoring of all the centers from the district and state level control room for proper monitoring of the evaluation.
