The prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders were increased earlier this month. On May 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder increased by Rs 102.50 to Rs 2,355.50 from Rs 2,253 earlier. Apart from this, the price of 5 kg LPG commercial cylinder is Rs 655. Earlier, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG was increased by Rs 250 per cylinder to Rs 2,253 on April 1. Further, on March 1, 2022, the price of commercial LPG was increased by Rs 105.
Domestic LPG price hiked
After the hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG, the price of domestic LPG gas cylinder has also increased in the country. According to the rates announced today, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 50. The result was that from today the common people would have to pay Rs. 1000 for one LPG gas cylinder. This is the second consecutive increase in the prices of LPG cylinders in the first week of May.

Earlier in March, the price of a domestic LPG gas cylinder was increased by Rs 50. The price of LPG cylinder without subsidy in Mumbai was 949.50. Now this rate has increased to 999.50!

The price of LPG depends on the international price of crude oil. Rising crude oil prices are also affecting the prices of LPG gas cylinders. Rising fuel prices in the international market, Ukraine-Russia war have increased inflation in many parts of the world. The price of LPG gas cylinder in India has increased by Rs 165.50 in the last 10 months. Since July 2021 till now, the price of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) gas cylinder has increased five times, in such a situation the economic mathematics of the general public is going to crumble.
