Massive fire breaks out in Tata Electronics factory in Tamil Nadu, no casualties

Chennai: A massive fire broke out in a plant of Tata Group company in the early hours of today. In Tamil Nadu, a fire broke out in the chemical warehouse of the electronic equipment factory of Tata Electronics Private Limited in the early hours of Saturday. The police said that at present there was no casualty in the incident.

According to the information received, seven fire tenders from Hosur and surrounding districts have been sent to the spot. The fire was brought under control after hours of hard work. A senior Hosur fire and rescue service officer said, “The incident took place at around 6 am in a chemical warehouse located on the premises. Seven fire tenders were sent to the spot. There was no news of any casualty in the incident.”

Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd said that employees are safe and officials are working to determine the cause of the incident. The company said in a statement, “An unfortunate incident of fire has occurred at our plant located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Our protocols to deal with emergency situations at the plant ensured the safety of all our employees. “The cause of the fire is being investigated and we will take necessary action to protect the interests of our employees and other stakeholders.”

According to the company's website, Tata Electronics Private Limited is a new venture of the diversified conglomerate Tata Group, which specializes in manufacturing precision components. Details on the incident are awaited.
