We played well but couldn’t win: David Miller

David Miller scored a century but could not get his team to win. Talking about Quinton de Kock and himself after losing the match by 16 runs, David Miller said

“Quinton clearly struggled ahead, but he managed to bat and give us a chance. He is a batsman capable of hitting fours and sixes, so it was just going to come in”.

The player further said that

“As you have seen, we were just 16 runs short. He (de Kock) went up to me (after the game) and said ‘Well done, forgive me’. It was a great wicket and India put pressure on us from the start. We had to go with the first ball and the freedom gave us a chance to express ourselves. It’s raining here and it’s a bit wet (humidity). I was drinking as much water as I could”.
