Patna died on Monday of former chief minister Satish Prasad of Bihar. 89-year-old Satish Prasad was infected with Corona and was admitted to Max Hospital in Delhi for treatment for the past several days. CM Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on the demise of former Chief Minister Satish Prasad Singh.
CM Nitish Kumar said that his death was an irreparable loss to the political and social world of Bihar and Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey also mourned the death of the former CM. He wrote in his tweet that the sad news was received of the death of former Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Satish Prasad Singh Ji.
I express my deepest condolences on the untimely demise of Satish ji, give him a place in his shrine and give his family the strength to bear this pain. Satish Prasad Singh’s name is the record for the shortest time in Bihar. Satish Prasad Singh became the Chief Minister of Bihar in 1968.
He remained the chief minister for just five days. Mahamaya Prasad Sinha of the Janakranti Dal was made the CM, but Mahamaya Prasad had to step down before the completion of one year. After him, Satish Prasad Singh, the leader of the United Socialist Party, was made chief minister for just five days.
He made films – Jogi and Jawani – about social change. In that film, he himself was in the role of a hero. Interestingly, the producer and director of that film was also the late Satish Prasad Singh. Let me tell you that after becoming an MP from Khagaria, he said goodbye to the film world and became active in politics. Suchitra Sinha, a minister in the Bihar government, is the daughter of the same former Chief Minister Satish Prasad Singh.
