Garmin launches new rugged smartwatch in India, will be charged with solar energy, not electricity
New Delhi. Electronics maker Garmin has launched two new smartwatches in the Indian market, including the Instinct 2X Solar and the Solar Tactile Edition. This watch comes with solar charging and GNSS navigation feature. The biggest feature of Instinct 2X Solar is that it is charged not by electricity, but by solar energy. In this case, you will get unlimited battery life with it.
Instinct 2X Solar Specifications
The Instinct 2X Solar is a rugged smartwatch designed for outdoor and heavy use. The Instinct 2X Solar features a 1.1-inch circular dual-window display that is protected by scratch-resistant Power Glass. Both the body and bezel of the Instinct 2X Solar are made of fiber reinforced polymers. This watch has also got the certification of US Military Standard (MIL-STD-810).
This smartwatch is charged not by electricity, but by solar energy. In this case, you will get unlimited battery life with it. Single tone in built torch is available in this watch. Red and green light are also given in the watch.
This watch will not get damaged if you go in 10 meters deep water. Health features like sleep monitoring, respiration tracking, pulse oximeter, heart rate monitor are available with this watch. Instinct 2X Solar offers multiple sports modes like swimming, cycling, racing and running. For connectivity, it gets GNSS navigation, ABS sensor.
Garmin Solar Tactile Specifications
The Garmin Solar Tactile Edition also offers many of the same features as the Instinct 2X. Apart from night vision, stealth health mode, GPS and network connectivity are available. It has jumpstart mode for parachute activity.
Price and Availability
The price of Instinct 2X Solar has been kept at Rs 50,490 and the price of 2X Solar Tactile Edition has been kept at Rs 55,990. The sale of both the watches has started from offline and online stores.
