After winning the ODI series, Gautam Gambhir showed aggressive style, vented out his anger on IPL team owner

Gautam Gambhir vs Parth Jindal Controversy: The Indian team has won the three-match ODI series played between India and South Africa by 2-1. In the third and decisive match, the Indian team defeated South Africa by 9 wickets. After this victory, Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir took aim at the owner of an IPL team and advised him to stay within his limits.

After winning the ODI series, Gautam Gambhir reached the press conference. Where he said without naming anyone, “There were people who had nothing to do with cricket, they were also giving their opinion. People should stay within their limits. If I do not come under anyone’s ambit, then they also have no right to come under my ambit.” Of course, Gautam Gambhir did not take anyone’s name, but his reference was to Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal. It was Parth Jindal who advocated separate coaches for each format.

Parth Jindal talked about changing the coach after losing the test series

After New Zealand, the Indian team had to face a crushing defeat against South Africa in the home Test series. After this, questions were raised regarding Gambhir’s coaching. The issue of changing the coach in the Test format was also raised on social media. Parth Jindal, co-owner of an IPL team, was also among those who raised this issue.

Parth Jindal had demanded to have a separate coach

Parth had also made a post on social media. On Twitter, he wrote, “Nothing much, what a bad defeat at home. Don’t remember our Test team being so weak at home. This is what happens when red-ball specialists are not selected. It’s time for India to have a specialist Test coach for Test cricket.” Parth Jindal had also tagged BCCI in his post.

After Gautam Gambhir became the head coach, the Indian team had to face clean sweep against New Zealand and South Africa in their home Test series within a year. New Zealand beat us 0-3 in 2024, while South Africa beat us 0-2.
