The fallout of the Russia-Ukraine war, high inflation, rising interest rates and the looming global recession have slowed down M&A activity in the current year. M&A deals worth $6.60 billion have taken place so far in the current year, which is 73.70 per cent lower than the same period in 2022. According to the report, the number of deals has also decreased by 3.17 percent.
