Goa accident: Case of culpable homicide registered against nightclub owners, investigation ongoing

Panaji, 7 December. After the accident in Arpora in Goa, the police have registered an FIR against the owners of the night club. The police have accused him of culpable homicide. Goa Director General of Police has confirmed the registration of FIR. He said that a complaint has been filed against the two owners of the club, the manager, the investor, and several others. Also, some people of the club are being detained and interrogated, although the club owners are currently away from the police and are being searched.

Actually, the entire accident happened on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Police and fire department investigation is going on. According to Goa Police, 4 of those killed have been confirmed to be tourists and 14 were staff members, while 7 people have not been identified yet. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the accident and asked to take strict action against those responsible for the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu and many Union Ministers have expressed grief over the accident and expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims.

Goa Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju has also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this unfortunate accident. He wished speedy recovery of the injured people. The Governor has urged the concerned authorities to provide all possible help and support to the affected people.
