Government wants to sell power companies to Adani-Ambani, strike due to fear: Pramod Tiwari


Pratapgarh. Senior Congress leader and Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari, while addressing a public meeting organized at Lalganj in the district on Saturday evening, said that the people are badly fed up with the Modi government at present due to inflation, unemployment and terrorism. He said that the government wants to sell power companies to Adani-Ambani, because of this fear this strike is taking place.

His first priority as the Deputy Leader of the Rajya Sabha is to unite the like-minded opposition parties under the leadership of the Congress for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to oust the BJP government from power.

Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari, who arrived here by helicopter along with MLA’s daughter Aradhana Mishra Mona for the reception program at Lalganj in Rampur Khas, while attacking the central government, said that this government is trying to destroy the country’s economy by promoting capitalists.

Addressing the reception after becoming the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha at Indira Chowk here on Saturday, MP Pramod Tiwari said that under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, the party will move away from Parliament to stop the undemocratic activities of the BJP and the excesses of misuse of constitutional institutions. Till then the edge of the struggle will intensify.

Pramod Tiwari said that in order to implement the trust reposed in him by the party leadership in the Rajya Sabha, he would soon start a campaign to strengthen the opposition unity by visiting all the states of the country. Enthusiastically seeing the crowd gathered here to welcome and honor him, Loverej Pramod Tiwari assured that the development of Rampur Khas along with MLA Mona will be strengthened by central and state level schemes.

While presiding over the public meeting, Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona said that Rampur has become used to making special history. Pramod Tiwari’s elevation to the post of Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha has created a golden chapter in a new political history for Pratapgarh district along with the entire Rampur Khas. MLA Mona said that due to the strength and all-round faith of the people of Rampur Khas, this area has become an example of development and mutual brotherhood in the state.

Gadgad MLA Mona said that this strength of the family of Rampur Khas is the real strength of the development here.

Chief Lalganj Amit Singh Pankaj and Sangipur chief Ashok Singh Bablu and chairperson representative Santosh Dwivedi coordinated the felicitation ceremony. Addressing the public meeting, State Secretary Mukund Tiwari, Pt. Shyamkishore Shukla, Irfan Ali, Dr. Neeraj Tripathi, Kapil Dwivedi, Maulana Wahid, Saroj Kashyap, Prashant Shukla, Ramlavat Yadav and Ramkripal Pasi threw light on the policies of the Congress.
