Harshit Rana reveals the support he received after initial delay in debut

Mumbai Mumbai. India's sensational fast bowler Harshit Rana finally made his debut for the Indian national cricket team after a long wait. The young Indian fast bowler made his mark in his very first match against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The talented fast bowler had to go through a period of uncertainty during which his debut was postponed. But his parents and head coach Gautam Gambhir encouraged him to be patient and prepare himself mentally for this precious moment. Harshit Rana had to wait a long time to make his debut in Team India.

The fast bowler made his dream debut in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, but was in line to make his T20I debut against Bangladesh. However, his plans were delayed due to a viral infection and he could not make his debut. Rana revealed that the wait started taking its toll on him, but advice from head coach Gautam Gambhir and his parents helped him maintain his patience. “It was difficult for me to wait (for my debut), but Gauti Bhai was saying to be patient and do well whenever you get a chance. He always gives confidence. He was telling me to keep everything aside and Think you are representing the entire country. “I keep talking to my father and mother before and after every match. So, they were telling me to be patient and God will fulfill my dreams,” Harshit Rana said during his post-day press conference.
