Amrita Hospital, the largest private sector hospital is ready in Faridabad, Modi will inaugurate
The country’s largest private sector hospital-cum-medical college, Amrita Hospital, is ready in the Faridabad area of the National Capital Region, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 24.
Dr. Sanjeev K Singh, Resident Medical Director, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad told reporters here on Friday that the hospital, built in Sector 88, is of 2400 beds and 81 special departments are being set up in it. The hospital will also have eight centers of excellence in medicine including cancer, heart, nervous system, maternal and child care, orthopedics, transplant, trauma treatment. He said that this would be the country’s biggest facility for the treatment of infectious diseases.
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Mata Amritanandamayi Devi will also be present at the inauguration of this hospital built under the aegis of Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
He said that this hospital with 10 million square feet built-up area and 14 floors will have faculty with state-of-the-art facilities for medical education and teaching-training of para-medical staff. Apart from India, the best doctors from America, UK and some other countries have been appointed in this hospital. The doctors and para medical staff have been trained as per the arrangements of the 25 year old Amrita Hospital, Kochi.
Dr Singh said that the patients in the hospital will be charged a reasonable fee for the treatment and it will definitely be less than other corporate hospitals in Delhi, NCR and other corporate hospitals. Special arrangements have been made for the poor in the hospital and a committee will be working continuously to identify such patients.
He informed that at present about 2000 people will get direct employment and 2000 others indirectly from this hospital. Once the hospital starts operating at full capacity, it will provide employment to 10000 people and more than 800 doctors will be employed in it.
Dr Singh informed that this is the highest investment project of Haryana till date and Rs 300 crore has been paid to the Haryana Government under Goods and Services Tax from this project.
