Heavy rain disrupts people's lives in MP, Meteorological Department issues alert

Rainy season has started once again in Madhya Pradesh from Friday. People's lives are getting disrupted due to heavy and slow rains. There are lines of worry on the faces of the farmers. It rained in 23 districts of the state on Friday which continued till Saturday. There is an alert of heavy rain in the next 24 hours in Niwari, Guna and Shivpuri. It is drizzling in Ujjain, Gwalior-Jabalpur.

According to the Meteorological Department, after this the existing system will weaken and the rainy season will stop. At present, there will be sunshine in Anuppur, Dindori and Balaghat. At the same time, there will be light rain and thundershowers in other districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain continued in the state on Friday also. It has rained in 23 districts. The weather changed in Bhopal in the afternoon and it started raining heavily. In this rainy season, 200 out of 250 dams in the state have been full. Due to continuous rains, small culverts in Ujjain Mandsaur and Neemuch districts of Ujjain division have been flooded, while the temples built on the ghats of Kshipra river have been submerged.

Due to rain, the soybean crop kept in the market of Mandsaur has become wet and a young man has been washed away in Vidisha. Due to rain, the dams and ponds of the state are overflowing again. Many dams and ponds were filled with water on Friday. There are many dams including Bargi, Banganga, Omkareshwar, Indira Sagar, Tawa, Kaliyasot, Kerava, Bhadbhada, whose gates have been opened 10 or more times in the season.

Where and how much rain?

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather changed in Bhopal on Friday afternoon and it started raining heavily. 1 inch of water fell in Khajuraho-Tikamgarh. At the same time, there was 1.5 inch rain in Narmadapuram. In Tikamgarh, Mandsaur, Narmadapuram, Guna, Chhindwara, Mandla, Naugaon, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Sidhi, Umaria, Malajkhand, Betul, Dhar, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Khandwa, Pachmarhi. Water also fell. It is being told that more than 60 inches of water has fallen in Mandla of Jabalpur division. 56.7 inches of water has fallen in Seoni. Sheopur has received 52 inches of rain. Bhopal, Sagar, Niwari, Dindori, Sidhi and Chhindwara are the districts where 50 inches or more rainfall has occurred.

Meteorologist VS Yadav said that due to monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, rainy season is going on in Madhya Pradesh. The system is affecting the western part of the state. This system will move ahead, hence rains will continue in some districts in the next 24 hours. This year, Raisen and Narmadapuram districts are also included in the top-10 districts with the highest rainfall in terms of monsoon rains. Jabalpur division is at the forefront. Mandla district has received maximum rainfall.
