Yesterday, due to strong wind and rain, more than 200 trees were uprooted in the city. In which more than 25 vehicles have been damaged. While 4 people have lost their lives.

Many trees fell in the city due to heavy rain with a speed of 110 km per hour last night. An old giant tree fell near Shrijidham Society near Tulsidham. However, there were no casualties. A side road was closed due to a tree falling on Karelibagh Jalaram Mandir Road in the city. The street light pole that fell on the road fell directly on a Bolero vehicle, crushing it. Hoardings also fell in the city due to rain accompanied by strong winds on Wednesday. In such a situation, people had to face a lot of trouble.

In a span of about half an hour, more than 200 trees fell in different areas of the city, in which 14 cars, 14 two-wheelers, 1 rickshaw and about 29 vehicles were damaged due to the storm. On the other hand, reports of falling of electric poles have also come to light from other areas including Jubilee Bagh.

Apart from this, about 40 feeders of MGVCL remained closed in the city. Due to which many areas were plunged into darkness. Citizens remained troubled due to interruption of power supply for hours. So far 57 electric poles have fallen.
