But before the situation could worsen, the Calcutta High Court has taken command and issued direct and strict instructions to Mamata Banerjee’s government. What did the court say? Understand in simple language: Actually, the court had received information that an organization in Murshidabad wants to organize a program on the issue of Babri Masjid. Generally, emotions run high in such programs and sometimes they become a challenge to law and order. While hearing this matter, the High Court has clearly said that it is the responsibility of the state government and the police administration to maintain peace there. The court has directed that the administration should ensure that communal harmony is not disturbed due to any program. The judge has instructed the government that tension should not arise at any cost. This step of the court is being considered important as a precaution to prevent tension because Murshidabad can be a sensitive area. The court said that if any group asks for permission or any gathering takes place, the police will have to keep their eyes and ears open. It cannot happen that an event takes place and later there are reports of fighting. That is, this order is in a way a “Preventive Measure”.
