25 people lost their lives and 6 were seriously injured in a massive fire that broke out at the night club ‘Birch By Romeo Lane’ located in Arpora area of Goa on Saturday night. Initial investigation has revealed that the fire started from the dance floor itself.
Bollywood banger night was in the club, 100 people were present
At the time of the accident, about 100 people were partying in the club and the atmosphere of ‘Bollywood Banger Night’ was in full swing. A video of this party has also gone viral on social media. In the video, a belly dancer is doing a tremendous dance on the song ‘Mehbooba-o-Mehbooba’.
Pieces of glass fell from the roof, fire spread within seconds
Amidst the dance, suddenly large pieces of glass started falling from the roof of the club. After a few seconds, strong flames spread all around. As soon as they saw the flames, people started screaming and the female dancer immediately stopped her dance.
Narrow entry stopped fire brigade, club was illegal!
Investigation revealed that the entry of the club was so narrow that fire brigade vehicles could not reach inside. Here, the Sarpanch of Arpora-Nagua village has made a big revelation that this club was completely illegal and a notice to demolish it was also issued.
