New Delhi: Indian cricket team’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was recently seen practising with the red ball. After Pandya’s practice video went viral, fans started speculating that Pandya is going to make a comeback in Test cricket.

It is worth noting that 30-year-old Pandya made his debut against Australia in January 2016, but he has not played red-ball cricket for Team India for the last 6 years. He was last seen playing for Team India in the year 2018. Pandya has played a total of 11 Test matches for India so far, in which he has scored 532 runs and taken a total of 17 wickets with the help of 1 fifer.

But now it seems that Pandya can be seen playing for Baroda in the upcoming Ranji season. If he plays domestic cricket, he can return to red-ball cricket during India’s tour of Australia. However, former Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has something else to say about Pandya’s return to Test cricket.

Dinesh Karthik’s statement:

“Wow, that would be really good. Especially someone with his skill set, so fast bowling and batting in Australia would be good, but to be very honest, I would be very surprised because I know his body, it’s not that easy for him to play Test cricket where he is today, so I again will be surprised,” Karthik said on Cricbuzz’s HeyCB with DK show.
