Google is going to enter India’s job search market. Google is about to launch an app. Where people will be able to search for entry level jobs. The name of the app is Kormo. According to the news of The Economic Times, Google has partnered with the job and career application Kormo for entry-level job search.
However the Payal Project in India has been going on since the beginning of this year. Research is being done on hiring in different sectors. This app will be launched on September 20 at a Google event in Delhi.
By the way, there are already apps for job search in the market. In such a situation, the question is how the Kormo app will be different from all these and what will be its specialty. Actually Kormo will help in searching the kind of jobs that are posted very rarely online. Most jobs which are not in the organized sector, which are not easily known, Kormo will help in finding those jobs.
Bangladesh’s people are the first user of this app. It was also launched in Indonesia earlier this year. Kormo means ‘work’ in Bengali. In Bangladesh and Indonesia, Kormo’s focus is exclusively on sector jobs such as Retail, Hospitality and Logistics. Kormo is part of Google’s new Initiative Next Billion User NBU.
