A meeting of opposition parties concluded this morning to chalk out a strategy for the second phase of the budget session in both houses. Congress whip in Lok Sabha Manickam Tagore said his party wanted the opposition to take a united stand. He said that we will continue to raise people’s issues, price hike, LPG cost, Adani, misuse of agencies, farmers’ issues, interference of governors. After this the proceedings of both the Houses started but amid heavy uproar it was adjourned till 2 pm. The ruling party has demanded that Rahul Gandhi himself come to the House and apologize for the statement he made in Britain.

If you have some shame, Rahul should come to the Parliament and apologize.
On Monday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh handled the command of the opposition on behalf of the ruling party on the issue of Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Prahlad Joshi said that India is the mother of democracy. Coming from such a country, a member of this House goes to foreign land and accuses the Chair. He told Speaker Birla that you gave him full opportunity to speak, he also spoke fully. Joshi targeted Rahul Gandhi by referring to the Emergency and talking about tearing the ordinance of the Manmohan Singh government. Joshi said that Rahul Gandhi has demanded interference of foreign powers on India’s internal affairs. He said that we condemn it. If he has even a little bit of shame, Rahul Gandhi should come to the house and apologize to the country.

Rahul Gandhi should come to Parliament and apologize: Rajnath
‘Rahul Gandhi is the MP of this house. Rahul Gandhi has tried to defame India by going to London. He said there that the democratic system in India has completely collapsed. Foreign forces should come and save India’s democracy. He has deeply hurt the dignity and prestige of India. We demand that the entire House should refute his statement. Our demand is that Rahul Gandhi apologizes by coming to the Forum of the Parliament.

Tension in BJP, Congress
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is continuously attacking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the UK for his statements. There is a possibility of a tussle between the Congress and the BJP on this matter during the session. Issues like alleged misuse of central agencies, Adani dispute, border standoff with China, inflation, unemployment can be raised during the opposition party session.
