IIFA Awards: Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji shine bright

After a protracted absence from Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, popularly known as “King Khan,” made an incredible return at the IIFA Awards, which were held in Abu Dhabi. With his action-thriller “Jawan,” he took home the Best Actor award, capping a five-year absence from the public eye.

The 58-year-old actor said in his acceptance speech that he loved winning accolades and that it was wonderful to be back.

While acknowledging the skills of his fellow candidates, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh praised them and mentioned that his comeback offered him an advantage over the others. In a lighthearted moment, he thanked his wife Gauri Khan for believing in him and helping him produce “Jawan.”

After giving the IIFA some thought, he said, “It’s a celebration of Indian cinema that resonates globally,” highlighting his long-standing connection to the event.
