Aadhaar card and PAN card are one of the most important documents in the country. From filing Income Tax Return (ITR) to large banking transactions, it is necessary to have a PAN card. Apart from this, it is mandatory to have a PAN card for many other financial works. At the same time, Aadhaar card is used to perform many functions and to show identity. In such a situation, the Income Tax Department has fixed 30 June 2021 as the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar.
If the PAN card is not linked with the Aadhaar card by this date, then heavy fines may also have to be paid. So let’s know the process of linking PAN with Aadhaar…
1000 will be fined
If you do not link Aadhaar with PAN by June 30, then you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1000. This has happened due to Section 234H added in the Income Tax Act 1961, which was passed by the government under the Finance Bill 2021 passed in the Lok Sabha on 23 March. Let us tell you that apart from the fine, your PAN card will also be deactivated.

>> Tick square if only year of birth is given in Aadhar card.

>> Your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.
Link can be done through SMS like this
You have to type UIDPAN on your phone. After this, enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number. Then enter the 10 digit PAN number. Now send the message mentioned in step 1 to 567678 or 56161.
