IND vs AFG One-off Test match: India has created history by defeating Afghanistan by a huge margin of innings and 300 runs in the one-off Test match played in New Chandigarh. Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Team India not only completely captured the match but also registered its biggest win so far in Test cricket. With this victory, India also broke its 8 year old record.
Earlier, India’s biggest Test win came against West Indies in 2018, when the team won the match by an innings and 272 runs in Rajkot. Now the innings and 300 run victory against Afghanistan has become a new record in Indian Test history.

India has also registered its biggest Test win against Afghanistan (IND vs AFG). Earlier, a Test match was played between the two teams in Bengaluru in 2018, in which India won by an innings and 262 runs. Now the innings and 300 run victory in New Chandigarh has left that record behind too. The special thing is that India has won both the Test matches played so far against Afghanistan by an innings margin.

IND vs AFG: India made huge score with centuries from Gill and Rahul
In this match played at Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium, India, batting first, declared its innings by scoring 564 runs for 8 wickets. Captain Shubhman Gill and KL Rahul scored brilliant centuries and took the team to a strong position. Whereas Rishabh Pant and Sai Sudarshan played useful innings of 81-81 runs. Afghanistan’s bowlers looked completely ineffective in front of the strong performance of the Indian batsmen.
IND vs AFG: Manav Suthar shines in the first innings, Afghanistan all out for 152
In response to 564 runs, Afghanistan’s first innings was reduced to just 152 runs. India achieved a huge lead of 412 runs on the basis of first innings. During this, young spinner Manav Suthar, who was debuting, bowled brilliantly and took 6 wickets in his name. Prasidh Krishna took three wickets, while one success went to Washington Sundar. Suthar’s lethal bowling completely turned the tide of the match in India’s favor.
IND vs AFG: Afghanistan could not save even after follow-on, now ODI series will be held
After getting a big lead, India gave follow-on to Afghanistan. However, even in the second innings, Afghanistan’s batting did not work and the entire team was all out for 112 runs. In this innings, Washington Sundar took 4 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets. Manav Suthar and Mohammad Siraj also got one success each. With this, India created a new history by winning the match by an innings and 300 runs.
