Rohit Sharma praised Mohammad Siraj

After winning the series, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said,

“It was a great series for us. Lots of positives. We bowled well, got wickets when needed and it was good to see the batsmen scoring runs throughout the series. It was good to see how he (Siraj) was bowling and he deserved all those slips. He is a rare talent, it is good to see the way he has unfolded over the years. He has come with vigor and it is really good for Indian cricket.”

Indian captain Rohit Sharma further said that

We tried everything (to get his fifth) but unfortunately it didn’t happen. But all four wickets remained with him and going ahead five will also come. He’s got a few tricks he’s been working on and it’s worth a look. We will quickly get to the drawing board (for the next series) and see how the pitch is, then decide what the combination will be like. They (New Zealand) are coming from a series win in Pakistan, so it’s not going to be an easy task.”
