Delhi Police launched cordon and search operation

North Delhi Police today conducted Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Wazirabad area. DCP Raja Banthia said that under this campaign, those areas are surrounded which have been identified as hotspots of drugs, drinking alcohol in public places or other crimes. After this the police team conducts search operations in those areas. During investigation, any person found involved in illegal activities is taken into custody and legal action is taken.

The DCP said that for some time now, the police has also been getting support from paramilitary forces in such operations. With their help, such operations are being carried out continuously in different areas of the district. Even today this campaign is being run at three places.
