India beats South Africa, wins ODI series 2-1

New Delhi: The final match of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa was held on Saturday (December 6) at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. In this match, the Indian team won by 9 wickets. India completed the target of 271 runs in 39.5 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant century

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played an important role in this victory. Yashasvi scored unbeaten 116 runs on 121 balls, which included 12 fours and 2 sixes. This was Yashasvi’s first century in his ODI career. Apart from this, Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 65 runs and Rohit Sharma scored 75 runs to support his team.

With this victory, India won the three-match ODI series against South Africa 2-1. In the first ODI, India won by 17 runs in Ranchi, while in the second ODI, South Africa won by 4 wickets.

After losing the toss and batting first, South Africa scored 270 runs in 47.5 overs. The first wicket fell in the form of Ryan Rickelton, who was out without opening the account. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma together made a partnership of 112 runs. De Kock also completed the 23rd century of his ODI career by scoring 106 runs in 80 balls.
