New Delhi: Team India will square off with Bangladesh in the second and final Test of the two-match series at the Green Park in Kanpur from Friday. Having taken a 1-0 lead, the hosts will eye to seal the series with a sweep while for the visitors, a series draw would be the aim. India ride high on confidence while Bangladesh, who held the same confidence a few days back, will look to revive it concluding the series with a win.
In the first Test match that was played in Chennai, India thrashed the Bangla Tigers by 280 runs, courtesy of Player of the Match Ravichandran Ashwin who bagged a hundred and a six-wicket haul in the same game. India saw more heroes in an all-round Ravindra Jadeja, centurions Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill who all starred to take the team off on a bright note in the series.

According to Accuweather, Kanpur is expected to see a rainy day which remains the case for the first three days. The skies will be cloudy and the precipitation chances are above 90 percent for the day. Even a thunderstorm remains on the card during the match hours. “Cloudy with periods of rain and a thunderstorm,” the website’s forecast reads. Conditions will be more or less similar during the evening. The temperature would range between 25 to 28 degrees celsius.
Green Park Pitch Report
The track at Green Park is known to help the spinners at large as they offer low bounce. The pitch that has been prepared is a black soil one which ultimately means that the bounce will be a bit lower than what the players faced in Chennai, meaning spinners will have a main role in the game. But the overcast conditions will play their part in changing the good surface.
However, pitch curator Shiv Kumar told news agency PTI that the Kanpur pitch “will have something for everyone.” “It will offer bounce in the first two sessions and it will be pretty good for batting for the first two days. Then, the spinners will come into play on the last three days,” Kumar said.
