In fact, today in a program in Hazratganj, State President of Uttar Pradesh Association of Journalists Sarvesh Kumar Singh gave a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak and apprised him about the Shamli episode. The reader was informed through the memorandum that on May 19, young journalist Amit Mohan Gupta suffered a brain haemorrhage in Shamli. The relatives immediately took him to the nursing home of Dr. Mukesh Garg, the city’s doctor. But the relatives of the journalist could not pay the prescribed fees of the doctor. The fee was reduced by Rs 100. Hence the treatment was not given to the journalist. Due to lack of treatment, the journalist died in half an hour. This insensitive incident has shocked the entire journalist world and there is anger among the journalists.
